Education Theory to Practice: Innovative Education

In this online module, students will explore different theories of education, from constructivism and constructionism to critical pedagogy through interacting with online readings, resources, and videos. Students will employ a critical lens and rigorous inquiry to analyze how to implement different pedagogical practices such as self-directed learning, project-based learning, discovery learning, and collaborative learning. Students will contextualise the origins of different pedagogical practices and their relevance and effectiveness in their own current education institutions and discuss their critiques and analyses in meetings with their peer groups and during regular online webinars.
