Decision making in all types of organisations is supported by access to good information. Most times, a manager has to decide what information she needs, which is relevant for the decisions to be made. In order to decide which project to put money into for instance, we may need to know how much money we are likely earn from the options presented over a period of time. In order to decide which product to sell in a new market, we will need to know what the market is likely to think of the different products, how much the inputs cost and how much we are likely to make over a period of time. This course equips students with the skills to identify the kind of information needed for different business purposes, analyse data to obtain said information and use the insights obtained to make decisions that drive business success.
